We’re attempting to package identity into a really tangible artefact…
How is national identity determined and defined in our multi-cultural and globalised society? We speak to the artists, musicians and developers behind an insightful installation in the heart of our Foyers, exploring this very question.
Taking inspiration from the themes of Strange and Familiar, we commissioned an interactive installation with artist Marianne Holm Hansen and musician Seth Scott with Guildhall School of Music and Drama electronic music students to create an evolving portrait of British identity.
Add your photo and voice to Towards the Mean: Sampling Britishness Today until 19 June 2016 in the Foyers.
Towards the Mean: Sampling Britishness Today is part of Strange and Familiar: Britain as Seen By International Photographers, currently displayed in the Art Gallery.
