Things are starting to gear up for this summer’s Into the Unknown: A Journey Through Science Fiction exhibition which will see The Curve transformed into an extraordinary voyage through the history of science fiction. As part of the exhibition, science fiction will spill out across our programme, including a special weekend with DJ Jeff Mills who returns for a series of dance, film and music experiences inspired by science fiction.
As a result, Jeff Mills’ exclusive mix, Astronomina (2015), is back on the office playlist featuring that atmospheric soundtrack from Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey.
This June, Mills presents From Here to There, a series of innovative conceptualised events including three UK premieres alongside a return of Light From the Outside World. In Fantastic Voyage, Mills presents a live cine-mix for Richard Fleischer’s cult film, Life To Death and Back combines documentary, dance, music and Egyptian mythology and The Planets is a 21st century meditation of our new understanding of the solar system, inspired by Gustav Holst.
From Here to There takes place from 8–12 June
