British artists including Alice Herrick, Gavin Turk, and Richard Wilson have designed bespoke ceramic plates to raise vital funds for the Barbican Centre Trust.
The one-of-a-kind plates are now on display in the Barbican’s foyers until 11 March 2018 before being auctioned later this year.
This is a preview exhibition of work that will be auctioned later in the year. Each artist has designed and created a bespoke plate. All proceeds will help the Barbican to continue to inspire audiences with world-class art, film, music, theatre, dance and learning as it does each and every day.
The contributing artists are: Stuart Carey, Alice Herrick, Marie-Claire Porter, Tamsin Relly, Stuart Semple, Gavin Turk, Richard Wilson, and Rebecca Youssefi.
All proceeds from the sale of the plates will go to the Barbican Centre Trust, a charity dedicated to supporting the Barbican’s international arts and learning programme.
The plates project has been led by Geoff Leong with support from The Kiln Rooms, three open access ceramics studios in Peckham.

‘Art for Barbican’ take place in the Barbican Foyers from 12 Feb–11 Mar 2018.
